With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, Porsha Riley is a dedicated leader, mentor, and advocate for quality education. She is the co-founder and Principal of Growing Minds Academy and the Executive Director of Growing Minds Learning Center.
Porsha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance from Wayne State University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Detroit Mercy. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership at Oakland University. Her expertise extends beyond administration—she is a certified trainer with the State of Michigan, a CDA Instructor, and a member of the Michigan (MOST) Advisory Committee.
Beyond education, Porsha has a deep passion for ministry. Her ministry experience includes being a founding First Lady, Children’s Ministry Director, Finance Committee Member, and Conference Host, among other things. She is also a licensed Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC).
Above all, Porsha’s greatest joy is her family. She has been married for 13 years to Pastor DeAndre Riley who also serves as the school administrator. Together they are raising their three sons: DeAndre Jr., Darren Marvin, and Dave Matthew.
A firm believer in inspiring and equipping educators, Porsha is passionate about empowering women in leadership, work-life balance, and purposeful living. When she isn’t leading in education or ministry, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
